Here’s what you can expect during the home building process:
Initial Inquiry
Client Introduction and Initial Consultation: Your first contact via phone, email, or website allows us to understand your vision, needs, and goals. We then schedule a consultation meeting to discuss your ideas and requirements and conduct a preliminary assessment of the project’s scope and feasibility.
Project Proposal and Agreement
Detailed Needs Assessment, Proposal Development, and Agreement: We conduct a site visit and have detailed discussions with all relevant stakeholders to perform a comprehensive needs analysis and project briefing. We then develop a detailed project proposal, presenting design concepts, estimated costs, and timelines. Once the project scope and budget are finalized and you are comfortable moving forward, you sign the contract terms.
Project Kick-Off / Pre-Construction Phase
Kickoff Meeting, Design and Planning, Permits and Approvals, Final Quote Confirmation: We introduce you to the project management team and together we review the project timeline and milestones, establishing communication channels and schedules.
We collaborate with you and the designers, architects, and other specialists to develop detailed plans, select materials, finishes, and other specifications. We then submit plans for regulatory approval and get the necessary permits and clearances.
Finally, we confirm the final project quote with all trades involved, followed by your approval and sign-off.
Construction Phase
Site Preparation, Foundation and Framing, MEP, and Finishes: This is where it really gets exciting! We clear and prepare the construction site and set up necessary infrastructure and resources. Excavation and foundation work are carried out, followed by framing and structural work.
Next, mechanical systems, electrical wiring, and plumbing are installed, and inspections and quality checks are done. Windows, doors, roofing, and exterior finishes are installed, along with interior work including drywall, flooring, cabinetry, and fixtures.
Ongoing Communication and Support
Regular Updates, Documentation and Transparency: We schedule regular progress meetings and updates, maintaining open lines of communication for any questions or concerns. You will have access to ongoing documentation of all services, materials, permits, and expenses, along with regular financial updates and cost tracking.
Project Completion and Handover
Final Inspections and Quality Assurance, Client Walkthrough, Handover and Aftercare: Lastly, we do comprehensive inspections to ensure quality and adherence to standards, addressing any final touch-ups or corrections. We conduct a detailed walkthrough with you to explain home features, systems, and maintenance tips. The property is then formally handed over, with warranty and support information provided.
